• Ethics in Real Estate - This online course covers duties to clients and customers, duties to the public, duties to brokers, and case studies.
• Tax Free Exchanges - The topics included in this course covers the basics of a tax free exchange of investment property. Topics covered include requirements of a tax free exchange, types of exchanges and the methods for transferring title when an exchange takes place.
• Overview of Real Estate Law - The subject matter of this continuing education course will cover themes such as provisional status, reciprocity agreements, real estate forms, continuing education, prelicensure, and the Kansas Real Esate Commision.
• Contracts and Closing Statements - This course will provide knowledge for preclosing procedures, RESPA, closing staements, prorations, contracts used in real estate, discharge of contracts, federal and local laws and requirements, and pertinent legal information.

These are the current requirements for renewing your Kansas Real Estate Broker license. We will always provide the newest information available and will update the requirements as soon as there are changes.


• To renew your Real Estate Broker License in the state of Kansas, you are required to complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
• Brokers are required to complete 2, 3-hour mandatory courses titled, “Required Salesperson and Broker Core” and “Required Broker Core”. The remaining hours may be completed in elective courses approved by the Board.
• Excess continuing education hours may not be carried over to the next renewal cycle. All continuing education must be completed and submitted one month prior to expiration.
• Licensees are encouraged to keep a record of continuing education certificates, in their own records, as verification of continuing education completion.
